2025 PLAYOFFS
We are heading into the 2025 playoff season. It's an exciting time of year as we elevate our games even higher! We are about to see some of the best hockey of the season. We would like to take this opportunity to remind all players, coaches, parents and spectators about the expectations for behavior on and off the ice and that we adhere to our code of conduct.
We need to be reminded that there are lots of officials who will be calling their first ever playoff games this year... younger (green armband) as well as senior officials. We also have to remember that it won't be perfect. As we enter the playoffs, everyone needs to be aware that calls will be missed and sometimes incorrect and that we can't expect perfection with officiating as it doesn't exist. Not even at the Pro level. Hockey is a game of adversity and we (as players, coaches and parents) have to overcome it. Lets remember to be respectful to our Opponents, Coaches and Officials.
Escalation Procedure - REMEMBER THE 24 HR RULE!!! Follow the proper ESCALATION procedure below:
Head Coach ----->Convenor ----->VP and Risk Manager ----->President
Coaches, Managers and Parents should not be contacting any member of District 4 or HEO directly. Use the escalation procedure above and if it has to be escalated outside of ORMHA then this will be handled by the President only.
Lastly, we would like to remind all Coaches and Managers to obtain a copy of their gamesheets before they leave the rink and ensure they are correct. Ensure that the correct code has been entered on the sheet for the infraction - especially suspensions. Please ensure the penalty codes and game sheet images are legible as these are required to be uploaded into TTM.
All misconducts and suspensions along with served games need to be entered in TTM within 24hrs of the game. If you have any questions regarding a suspension or entering into TTM, please email
[email protected] for guidance. There is an excellent help guide tutorial when you have logged into TTM.
ORMHA wishes all teams a successful playoff season. Teamwork and battling adversity wins championships!
Leave it all on the ice!!!
